Belladonna are a member of the Nightshade family. Their fruit are small, purplish berries that are toxic to consume.

Belladonna plants can be found growing in dark forest and flower forest biomes . It has 4 growth stages with the final stage featuring a yellow flower before bright red fruit appears on the plant. Like the Sweet Berry Bush the plants at their higher stages of growth will harm the player and other entities when moving through them.

Belladonna plants generate in all biomes contained within the #psychedelicraft:has_belladonna biome tag, the contents or which are listed below.

Belladonna plants can be harvested right-clicking (using) shears on them to farm the fruit without breaking the plant which will yield a random combination of fruit and/or leaves. When fully-grown it can be harvested from up to 6 times before the plant has to be allowed to grow.

Belladonna plants can be farmed by replanting their seeds on either farmland or on a grass block to grow a new plant. The plant will slowly progress through all four of its growth stages and on the last stage breaking the plant will drop both seeds and berries which can be used to again replant.

The fruit can also be harvested without breaking the plant by using bonemeal to force it to grow. When bonemeal is used the plant will simultaneously grow and harvest its fruit (if it is already fully mature).

# Usage ## Eating

To eat belladonna berries, press and hold use while it is selected in the hotbar. Eating one restores 1 (🍗) hunger, 1.5 hunger saturation.

Belladonna is a source of Atropine. Both the seeds, berries, and leaves can be can be combined with water in a Bunsen Burner to produce belladonna extract, with small amounts of atropine. In its base form this isn't very concentrated, so the fluid has to be concentrated into a perfume and then concentrated further to obtain stronger effects.
