The Distiller is part of the family of fluid contraptions added by Psychedelicraft to help with processing and storing fluids. It is the primary means of strengthening already fermented fluids by distilling them into a more refined product.

The distiller can be placed down on any solid blocks.

Distillation is the second step to refine your drinks after fermentation. It allows you to further increase the potency of your drinks as well as their clarity and is usually required to produce items such as vodka and whiskey.

When your drink has been fermented, you can optionally distill it to form a much stronger alcohol. Most drinks are typically distilled one to three times, but some, like Vodka, will even be distilled up to 8 times. There is no limit, but after about 8 distillations the fluid doesn't change much after each step any longer.

To distill your fluid, fill it into a Distiller, with the pipe (the condenser) leading into a Flask placed next to it. Once assembled and filled, the distillation process will begin and can take several minecraft days to complete. During the process the distiller will slowly drain into a flask.

Once distillation is complete, a by-product (slurry is left over in the distiller and can be disposed of as it is (as of now) of no use. Slurry disposal is done by letting it ferment in a spare vat. It turns to dirt which can be removed by right clicking.

Much like [[flasks||Flask], fluids can be deposited into the distiller to continue the distillation process without user interaction. These fluids can be extracted from the flask by placing any empty fluid container into the extraction slot (bottom right of the gui). Fluids can also be inserted by placing a filled container in the input slot (top left of the gui).

Hoppers can interact with distillers directly by inserting and removing any fluid container into either the output or input slots. The type of interactions can be precisely controlled by changing the side of the block you place the hopper against (see table below).
