Perched astride the Isthmus, Corinth guards the land route between northern and southern Greece and profits from two bustling harbors that face east and west alike. Once famed for its tyrants, its craftsmen, and its navy, Corinth became the lynchpin of many alliances and rivalries, playing Athens, Sparta, and Thebes against each other.
Today, the wealth and strategic position of Corinth make it a prize and a power. Surrounded by ambitious neighbors and threatened by foreign empires, Corinth must choose: to revive its naval strength, to lead Greek cities in common cause, or to secure its future through trade, cunning diplomacy, and, if need be, the sword. The isthmus has always been a crossroads of ambition — now Corinth must decide whose ambition it will serve.
