Thracian peltasts are fast skirmishers, they can rain javelins on the enemy. Most of them are good hunters, who can stalk fowls - these skills are very useful at war time. Every warrior has a clutch of throwing spears, a fighting spear and a shield.

Thracian peltasts are effective enough against infantry but are very vulnerable against cavalry. This unit is well suited to using ambush tactics.

Historically thracian peltasts were the ancestors of all other peltasts.
