What can be customized

The full assembly provides independent parameters for:

  • ClassicUO interface;
  • magazine;
  • chat;
  • messages in the game window;
  • overhead speech;
  • names of objects and characters;
  • damage;
  • regular tooltip;
  • world-hover cards;
  • cast indicator signatures.

Each supported group has a family, size, and color available. The exact set of fields depends on the text type.

Original game color

The Use original game/source color checkbox means that the client retains the original dynamic UO hue of a particular caption. Changing the font family or size when the checkbox is enabled should not make the text black.

If the checkbox is disabled, the manually selected color is used.

Color selection

The color is selected through the standard square UO-palette:

  1. click the colored square next to the desired group of text;
  2. select hue;
  3. confirm your choice;
  4. click Apply.

Custom fonts

  1. Copy the .ttf or .otf files to the Fonts folder next to the client.
  2. Open font settings.
  3. Click Reload Fonts folder if the client has already been launched.
  4. Select a new family from the list.
  5. Click Apply.

Fonts are downloaded only within the client and are not installed on Windows. Prepared system presets are also available in the standard set.

Scaling elements

When text size increases, menu items and bars should increase the measured area, wrap rows, or spread values across columns. If the old gump has rigid dimensions, use a moderate font size or stretch the supported bar.

Readability IDE

The font for the IDE and API Manual tooltips is separate from the game settings. This prevents unreadable text from appearing in the editor when selecting a decorative game font.

If the text turns black

  • check if Use original game/source color is enabled;
  • click Apply;
  • restart the client and check that the profile is saved;
  • make sure that you are using a complete set of current assembly;
  • Do not port older text rendering libraries on top of the client.
