Equipped with a long, slashing La Tene iron sword and an oval, Celtic shield (thureos) made of leather-covered wood, these young Galatian warriors are eager to prove their worth in battle and rise through the ranks of Celtic society. Different to many other cultures, the Celts were experts at smithing swords, and thus able to also equip poorer and less experienced warriors with these weapons.
