The Lavafall is an object in Sonic the Hedgehog, appearing in the lower areas of Marble Zone. The object lies hidden beneath a section of the foreground that looks like a vent, and at timed intervals, a lavafall drops down into the lava section below. This serves as a painful hazard to Sonic, and he must time his movements in order to avoid it.
