Summary of the Adventures of the Steel Reserve

Previously, on Steel Reserve...

Here are all of the tl;drs.

  1. The gang is hired to deliver a cart from Neverwinter to Phandelin. Along the way they meet a goblin defector fleeing the Cragmaw, a gang of thieves fleeing Phandelin, and are ambushed by a bunch of Cragmaw thugs. They defeat the ambushers and take one captive. more

  2. The gang successfully interrogates and then murders their hostage and learn that their employers, Gundren and Sildar, have been taken to Cragmaw Castle and Cragmaw Hideout, respectively. The gang fights their way to the entrance of the Hideout and meet Mayo. more

  3. The gang enters the caves and uses direwolves, flaming rats, and general badassery to take out Kommander Klarg and an entire room full of goblinoids/direwolves, taking one last goblin captive. more

  4. The gang flushes out the cave with a water trap, wages an epic battle in the Eatin Cave, and rescues Sildar, but not before the goblins amputated one of his arms. more

  5. The gang is escorting Sildar, the wagon, and a lot of loot crates back to Phandelin. Hiro makes a pack with a troop of kobolds to deliver them a dragon. Then an actual dragon shows up and messes up all their crates. Sildar borrows a shield from Dug, refuses to give it back, irreparably damages his relationship with the gang, and leaves to go off on his own. more

  6. Pankas joins the gang, they turn in the cart and claim their rewards, and in what will come to be known as The Incident, murder a bunch of gangbangers and burn their corpses in the middle of the town square. more

  7. The gang learns about and delves into the lair of the Redbrand Gang. more

  8. The group explores a crevasse filled with one-eyed freaks and confront Buldrick about his recklessly violent tendencies. more

  9. The gang rescues some captives of the gang. Hiro wields a strange sword which seems more in control of the situation than he does. They confront the leader of the gang and convince him to join their side. more

  10. Everybody rests and levels up. Find a goblin named Droop who tells us he can help us find Rave Echo Cave and the Black Spider, so he joins our team. We go shopping and get some gear. Collect some side quests. Dug joins a gang and nobody knows it. We go kill some orcs and Talon finally lets go of Hiro. more

  11. Hiro climbs a mountain. The gang frees a half-orc and his son from cages in the orc caves and they turn out to maybe have been doppelgangers? Fisty re-appears acting super suspicious, and a bunch of mysterious hand prints are burned into nearby trees. The gang collects a reward from the Mayor of Phandelin and Ducky accidentally gets a bounty put on Fisty's head. They all take off for Cragmaw Castle with Droop leading the way, and are ambushed by a small pack of displacer beasts, which they fight off before making camp for the night. Fisty hatches a Murder Pact. more

  12. Dug convinces the group to go to Thundertree. Ducky accidentally summons a small horde of undead swampthings. more

  13. The gang goes to chat up the dragon cultists. The kobolds arrive. The cultists, the kobolds, and the Reserve all go up to the dragon's tower to combine their tributes and try to gain the dragon's favor. The gang runs off with all the tributes, and Pankas sneaks inside and steals the rat flute back from the dragon. Dug convinces the gang to go back to Phandelin, where he delivers the cultists' loot to somebody shady. more

  14. Hiro reveals himself to be an actual friggin dragon and then flies away into the sunset. Tumutch talks to the Sacred Flame and gets some glowing rocks. Potentially also some new magic abilities? Pankas is outed as the leader of the Bluebrand Gang. Fisty changes course and now has to not kill Yarno outright, but capture his soul in a magic crystal, but when he gets there, Yarno is already dead. more

  15. Ducky tries and fails to fake Yarno's death in order to protect him from Fisty, but Fisty didn't kill him, so yay it worked? The gang plans a HEIST. Dug gets all kinds of cool and/or magical loot for the gang. more

  16. The gang decides to go back to Cragmaw Castle! Along the way, Ducky opens the Bloodshadow Tome and releases a few Shadows. They finally infiltrate the castle, kill Dave Grohl and a few henchgoblins, steal a map to Rave Echo Cave, and feed a false copy to Spiderman's toady. more

  17. The team rescues Gundren from Cragmaw Castle and brings him safely to the Stone Hill Inn. Droop gets his vengeance and is installed as king of the Cragmaw. Dug and Tumutch start a cult? more

  18. The gang infiltrates the secret hideout of the Harpers, rescues The Minstrel, and recovers some powerful artifacts. more

  19. The gang descends into the underdark. more

  20. The gang gets even more lost down in the underdark. more

  21. The gang arrives in Rave Echo Cave. A couple undead creatures join the party, and Yarno gets soul sucked into his staff. more

  22. The gang fights a bunch of undead and aberrations and finally comes face to face with the la araña negra more

  23. Several storylines come together during the epic final fight against the Black Spider more
