Rules

So says the Dungeon Master:

  • If this isn't your first session, learn your character and its features and abilities. Some characters get more complex every level.
  • Your character must be willing to travel with and work with the group. Your characters are free to argue and deceive one another, but at the end of the day should adventure together.
  • As the DM I am not trying to kill you, but I'm also not trying not to kill you. You are not invincible and I do not play dumb NPCs. They will become more tactical and lethal as time goes on.
  • No intra-party combat or stealing. Everyone shares gold. The party distributes magical items as it sees fit. If there is no agreement, we'll roll 1d20.
  • Some in-session rulings will be made on the fly and we'll look up the actual rule later. In-session rulings do not set a precedent.
  • Feedback is most welcome and appreciated. If you don't want to do that in-person, feel encouraged to fill out the anonymous Steel Reserve Survey as often as you like.
  • Be prepared for your next turn in combat.
  • Some metagaming is totally fine, but remember: the DM can metagame harder.
  • There is no win or lose; we're all here to have fun and create a narrative. This will involve successes and failures.
