This Combined Use Feather Wing board is the main flagship of the Toolauth project. It is designed to be a compliant Adafruit Feather Wing so that any microcontroller that is also compliant with the Feather specification may act as the processing unit and provide network communication.
The circuit board can:
- control power to a tool with relays and a contactor
- measure the electrical current used by the tool
- Easily add an RFID card reader for authorization
- Power itself off the connected tool's power supply
- Communicate via WiFi, using the central Feather
More information needed for use:
- Required external, End User Controls
- Basic Breakdown of Standard Use
- Overview of Firmware, hello-world and more
- Set-Up guide for the board in a controller box
This board was designed at and for MakeHaven. A nonprofit community Fab Lab, Makerspace, workshop in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. A small team of dedicated members and employees worked together to design these boards based on knowledge gained from a legacy system that was in place.
