July 2019
Jul 1st The server is opened! The first few towns are made (Fresno, Jeju_Island, Draeyae).
Jul 2nd The first nation is made: JGodinez009, leader of Sacramento, creates California! Pyongyang and Korea are founded. Tokyo and Japan are founded. Eldia, and its nation Ivoire, are founded by Dubnium. Cairo is founded by MrGalaxy_.
Jul 3rd China is founded by CaptainOfTheSeas. Vienna is founded by SpektrSoyuz. Arstotzka was founded by Bwahh, Krazykrow, and another member in mid Russia.
Jul 4th Ivoire emerges as the top nation, with Eldia also growing in population.
Jul 5th Osterreich is founded and becomes the top nation, holding that position for two days, the first Berlin is founded which becomes the Capital of the Holy Roman Empire.
Jul 6th Copenhagen is founded.
Jul 8th Antioch is founded.
Jul 9th Eldia hits its peak population, with 37 players.
Jul 13th The border between Copenhagen and EsbjergHolyCity becomes MCAtlas' first Demilitarized Zone.
Jul 14th The first nation of Europa is founded by Abraxis_97 and mijo6000 and grows rapidly, passing Eldia.
Mid July The capital of California is moved to Fresno.
Jul 19th Europa hits its peak population of 191 players.
Late July The first iteration of The United States is founded by Dastronaut. UgandianCity is founded and slowly gains players.
Jul 20th - 28th The United federation of Towns was founded, and being the first successful peace organization in the server.
Jul 21st? The first major PVP conflict on the server occurs. The Battle of Kolaka was fought due to Fouet being AFK in their town, provoking the town members to kill them, and Fouet losing their items. Fouet calls upon their allies, such as BubbleBoi21 (RamenBoy21), and intense fighting occurs afterward, for about 10-40 minutes. Fouet and their allies win this conflict, and even get better items from looting.
Jul 23rd Wabaskang, known at this time as Timmins, is founded.
Jul 24th Ur is founded.
Jul 25th United States quickly rises to overtake the decreasing in population Europa.
Jul 26th Abraxis_97 leaves the Server and Vanity becomes ruler of Europa. Europa is then rebranded to France.
Jul 28th AkselHolmsted becomes ruler of Europa after an arguement with Vanity.
Jul 29th Samoa is founded by MellowJelloh.
Jul 31st The first company (Rapture) is founded by Mobcontroll and Henrygord.
August 2019
Early August The first nation of Canada is founded by Hightech_Caveman. The first Europa disolves.
Aug 2nd China overtakes United States as the largest nation.
Aug 3rd Europa has another change of ownership. As Copenhagen leaves, CreateAlex is assumably made king. Europa then rebrands to EU.
Aug 6th Canada quickly takes towns from United States to become the largest nation, overtaking China.
Aug 8th The original Europath project is founded.
Aug 11th Rome is founded by bottlecqp.
Aug 15th The Europath north german network is completed.
Aug 30th Sweden becomes Scandinavia after obtaining Copenhagen and Oslo.
September 2019
Sep 1st Canada hits its peak of 352 players.
Sep 2nd UgandianCity becomes the first town to hit 100 players. Many towns suddenly leave Canada, creating the new nation of Cascadia.
Sep 6th Canada falls! Many former Canadian towns create the NAU, taking away towns from Cascadia.
Sep 7th United States, still led by Dastronaut, grows again to become #1.
Sep 8th Scandinavia falls apart.
Mid September Eureka, part of California, becomes the largest town. The great raid of MCAtlas happens, the culprit being none other than geographiaxyz.
Sep 14th Berlin is founded by moust4che2, Germania is founded by Victim__, which later becomes the German Empire.
The first Golden Age ends with the foundation of the German Empire. Nations now usually last much longer and grow to previously unimaginable sizes. MCAtlas is now dominated by global superpowers. The Pre-German Age begins.
Sep 18th NAU becomes the largest nation, taking away towns from United States, and hits its peak at 236 players.
Sep 27th The Duloc Massacre occurs.
Sep 28th Copenhagen leaves the German Empire to join the Second Europa, and its mayor is spawntrapped and killed by moust4che2 the same day.
October 2019
Oct 1st California becomes the largest nation due to Eureka growth.
Oct 5th Eureka is sabotaged and crumbles, leading to NAU being the top nation again. Forks becomes the largest town.
Oct 9th Europa emerges again, led again by Abraxis_97, becoming the top nation.
Oct 14th Europa hits its peak of 156 players.
Oct 22nd The German Empire quickly grows as Europa falls again, becoming the top nation. They will maintain this position until February 2020.
Oct 23rd Arstotzka has fallen due to inactivity in the town, and the United Federation of Towns was canceled shortly after.
Oct 29th Crete (Cyrenaica) is found by, Loxures as a colony from the German Empire.
November 2019
Early November New_Eureka is founded where Eureka was by GameGuy2008, becoming one of the top towns.
Mid November Crete (Cyrenaica) becomes the first town in all of MCAtlas history to have lands in three continents (Africa, Asia, and Europe).
Nov 19th The town of Abuja is founded at its exact real-world geographical location by Hafuka101 with the intention of later making it the capital city of Nigeria. (Actually the nation was founded as well but got unregistered twice due to lack of funds.) The King of Nigeria is Eze Ukwu Hafuka101, he rules with the assistance of his prime minister, Mbu Nwoke xXBeniXxCRAFT.
The Pre-German Age ends.
Germany Grows in Power, Starting The German Era

Early December Graecia is founded by Kittyt. Floz, leader of Tampa, becomes leader of the United States.
Dec 1st Hightech_Caveman comes back from inactivity to recreate Canada. Adige becomes the largest town.
Dec 3rd Copenhagens long-time rival of EsbjergHolyCity falls.
Dec 6th Graecia becomes the largest town.
Late December Graecia becomes the largest town ever, with over 160 players. The Roman Empire is founded by Kittyt, merges with Nero's Eire (The Once North Sea Nation) and is renamed to Europa, and takes away some German towns.
Dec 25th Berlin is lavacasted.
Late December - Early January Malyesa becomes owner of Rome.
January 2020
Early January United States renames itself to United America, and nearly surpasses the German Empire in size.
Jan 6th Graecia falls! Kittyt takes all the gold out of the bank, causing the town to fall. Abraxis_97 becomes the leader of Europa for the 3rd time. Copenhagen celebrates its half-a-year-anniversary with a drop party and tour of the city.
Jan 23rd South Africa is founded by Luka_Exquisite (ImABodyBag) in the town of Nekosa.
Jan 24th TheTrueMunchkin Founds The Great Archives of Ink, within the town of Ink
Jan 26th Jeffster1235 founds Bruh.
Jan 27th The Server has a sudden shift towards the creation of books and historical collections.
February 2020
Early February Germany begins to lose towns and people as the United_States gains population.
Feb 15th Abraxis_97, original creator of Europa, permanently leaves the server.
Mid Feb With the decline of Germany and Abraxis_97 leaving, Copenhagen falls into inactivity.
Feb 18th Hightech_Caveman merges Canada into the nation of United_States, and United_States is renamed to Canada.
Feb 19th Malyesa leaves Germany and creates Italy in an act of treason!
Feb 20th Germany falls! The nation with the longest time spent as the top nation slowly loses towns until moust4che2 decides to pull the plug. Eurasia becomes the largest nation, with Canada close behind.
The German Era ends with the fall of Germany
The Grande Époque (Great Era) begins
March 2020
Early March Canada renames back to the United States.
Mar 10th HRE is created after the unconventional merge of Germania and Franco-Nordica and immediately becomes one of the top nations.
Mar 12th Dubai is founded by Bidav, and in a week becomes the 2nd largest town, behind Warszawa.
Mid March Italia surpasses the United States to become the 2nd largest nation, with Eurasia still maintaining its size of nearly 500 people. Warszawa continues to grow, becoming as large as the former Graecia. Atlantic, the United States, the HRE, and Italia continue to battle between positions 2-5.
Mar 23rd mijo6000, leader of HRE, kicks all of the towns out to tax Toussaint, effectively disbanding the nation, with 243 members.
Late March UAE is founded with the top town Dubai as its capital. It immediately gets to #4-ish thanks to Dubai's massive size.
Mar 28th Momont, the well-known underwater town in the Atlantic Ocean, falls due to the only member, jtsauce, being inactive.
April 2020
Apr 7th UAE and the Caliphate merge into the United_Caliphate taking second with 297 people in total beating Italia for second.
Apr 12th United_Caliphate, after changing its name back to Caliphate, now renames to Ottoman_Empire. The new Ottoman_Empire becomes the top nation with 516 people, ending Eurasia's streak. Italia goes through a Revolution as Emperor Soverhs overthrows Empress Malyesa and Kaiser Doggerland. The nation loses a lot of population as a result. The Ottoman Empire is destroyed by Malyesa.
The Grande Époque (Great Era) ends as many influential nation and town leaders retire as a result of the Ottoman's downfall
The beginning of the Archaic Age debuts
Apr 14th Because of The Fall of The Ottoman Empire many of its leaders quit leading to a speculation as to who would be the Leader of The Nation. The Canidates were Helsin and Hafixion. Hafixion eventually won starting The "Caliphate-Arabia" Civil War with Helsin Revolting making A New Country named Arabia taking many Caliphate towns.
Apr 15th After The Caliphate declared War on Arabia and Failing to get The Newly Roman Empire to Support them, Helsin surrendered the Civil War and The Caliphate was Victorious. Although this crippled The Nation and split The population to 158 for Arabia and 162 for The Caliphate, Arabia still lives on.
Apr 17th mijo6000 holds his funeral.
Apr 20th At 1PM Est Hafixion is caught using X-Ray and is banned. HailSnickers disbands the Caliphate as a result.
Apr 22nd India surpasses Arabia and Atlantic in 1 day and becomes number 4 nation on nation list.
May 2020
May 14th Rome is griefed and raided by the Rome raiders, and most of there members are banned for duping or griefing (superiorob, Boo_Mac, Onder, jobelspice) later that day with only mijo6000 and Tkalash living to tell the tale. Some of the groups members find ways to dupe and become the first players to be banned because of duping. Soon after many people are muted and banned being one of the most toxic days in MCAtlas' history.
May 19th Troubles in Ireland, British colonizers in Donegal march through the town of Shamrock, war breaks out, with Shamrock gaining reinforcements from Eurasia, and the British and members of Atlantic are defeated and they retreat for now. Nero starts works on the great wall of Shamrock, to slow a British invasion.
May 26th Hub Build Battle Two begins, hosted by CaptainOfTheSeas and whitetiger131 with over 20 international entries and over ten thousand gold worth of prizes.
June 2020
Jun 11th The Second Battle of Belgium is fought between mostly Eurasian and Atlantic comprised forces, resulting in Eurasian victory and Crowblers being forced to sign a treaty.
Jun 15th Atlantic loses over 60 members, as various towns, including their most populous town of Belgium, leave the nation. Belgium goes on to create the new nation of the Belgian_Empire.
Jun 18th AFoodItem (OinkerCertified) has a retirement party thrown by whitetiger131.
Jun 20th xDeadpine is banned, causing them to leave the server.
Jun 25th Africa buys Graecia from Atlantic for 2600 gold.
Jun 25th Warszawa is griefed and attacked by Loner TheLogicMaster. Approximately 1/4 of the town is affected or completely ruined. Mysteries surround TheLogicMaster, as he only joined that day, had no town, but had a diamond suit and diamond sword. It is known as the 2nd Great Grief of Warszawa.
July 2020
Jul 1st Crowblers gives the role of Mayor to TomFarrington, becoming the second Mayor of Belgium.
Jul 1st - 8th To celebrate the 1 year anniversary of MCAtlas, staff organizes a powder hunt around various historical towns on the server. The event gains server-wide traction
Jul 14 The town of Morocco is infiltrated and looted by Luchablekid87 of the Poggers nation. Midnight_Drive defends the city using trench warfare but is eventually outnumbered. He flees to Banatuu-Israel, where he launches a counterattack. Afterward, he is rewarded with his own city and decides to settle in Greece, calling it "Aegean"
August 2020
Aug 11th Baltic Corridor is founded.
September 2020
Sep 8th Dogbat is banned for alting.
Sep 29th Prague falls. A part of its territories is claimed by Gdynia.

September 2020 Soviet Union is formed after a split in Eurasia. Khrusch was disappointed after the slow move to dictatorship under The Center Party with no progress being made whatsoever in the nation for months, with regards to democracy and anything else being done.
October 2020
Early October Crowblers unites all of Southern England under Wessex, becoming the first town to do so. After this Crowblers finishes the legacy of legendary WBC builder bobbydobby16, who had previously created the greatest British Empire seen on MCATLAS.
Oct 4th Soviet Union passes Eurasia in total residents.
Oct 23th Soviet Union is the only nation with 120 claim bonus, as other nations that used to be huge are in a decline.
December 2020
Early-Mid December kamiheartlemon quits MCATLAS until Early 2021, putting death044 in charge as de-facto temporary king.
Dec 20th Eurasia hypes up tension between the Soviet Union, war has been discussed between both sides.
January 2021
Mid-January kamiheartlemon accidentally deletes Warszawa. Players quickly rush to loot it of its riches and items. Afterwards, kamiheartlemon moves to South America to make the town of Colombia. gamer552233 becomes the new king of Eurasia as death044 chooses to join the Soviet Union.
The Archaic Age comes to end with the longest period of turmoil and strife on the server as countries battled for legitimacy left by previous influential leaders from The Ottoman Empire, The Roman Empire, Eurasia, and more.
The Disillusioned Age begins as Europe, The Middle East, and Northern Africa feel the effects of the Archaic Age and fall into Communist "Utopias"
February 2021
Early February Bavaria is created after Crowblers deletes Chicago and moves to Ingolstadt. Later Bavaria becomes the German Empire.
Early-Mid February Pumfee agrees to merge with the Soviet Union, ending the French SSR. As a result of this, the Soviet Union passes 250 members after having dipped below it.
Feb 21st Construction of the "Saharan Ocean" begins. Made by several players, like FrenchieCB, Traitorlord, 4014 and PiratedData, it will cover a large portion of the Saharan Desert and will reach the town of "Maghreb" at it's greatest extent. It's rolled back a few days later by royalkingkb.
Feb 27th Pumfee gets kicked from the Soviet Unionand creates Imperial France. It immediately gains Realm status and reaches 80 citizens.
March 2021
March 1st-March 10th The Soviet Union Falls! The German Empire lead by Crowblers and many other players from 2019 begin to target the Soviet Union after France is separated from the Soviet Union. Crowblers targets many large towns and convinces them to join him and eventually Daffyhat the new leader of the Soviet Union deletes the nation to merge with the German Empire.
March 3rd Pumpkin is created, starting the Pumpkin-Melon war. . Mid-March The German Empire moves their capital to the city of Mecca to reach more land in Asia and Africa. It renames to the Caliphate and many important residents move to Saudi Arabia to be closer to Mecca.
Mar 17th The Caliphate and many others bomb Paris. After the bombing, the terrorists gather in Mecca to celebrate the bombing.
Mar 21st Stonks crashes the McAtlas economy selling extremely cheap items.
Late March The Caliphates four leaders (Crowblers, Eightvolt, Doggerland, Auchimonde) start having disagreements. This ends in Eightvolt and Doggerland and a few others to kick Crowblers out of the nation but Eightvolt allows Crowblers back in right after. Because of this Crowblers and Daffyhat overthrow Eightvolt and Doggerland destroying the nation.
The Disillusioned Age comes to a close leaving unstable countries, economies, and power struggles in Europe
The Gilded Era arises as the Fourth German Empire grows in power in Europe and brings back many influential players from the German Era and the Grande Époque
April 2021
Apr 5th moust4che2, superiorob, and Tajeks recreate the German Empire.
Apr 9th Tkalash's Slavia (second largest in the world), Pumfee's Soviet France (fourth largest in the world), and Auchimonde's town of Meeren (50 players) merge into the rising German Empire, making the German Empire the largest nation in the world, with moust4che2 and superiorob being the main leaders.
Apr 11th Romania merges into the German Empire, solidifying its spot as the #1 nation in the world. As of April 24th, the German Empire sits at 408 members, 28 members ahead of Pan Asia, the declining 2nd largest nation.
Apr 12th Copenhagen comes back from inactivity after more than a year.
Apr 18 superiorob recreates Rome. It quickly becomes the fastest growing town of all time.
Apr 28 Rome hits 100 members. The German Empire is at 446 members, 200 ahead of the rapidly declining Pan Asia.
May 2021
Early May Rome, after peaking at 190 residents, stops growing after superiorob quits MCAtlas. The city is handed down to CutPurse.
Mid-May Finals in school slows growth of all towns and nations on the server. Many people hope the summer will bring in new players.
Mid-Late May Paris is infiltrated by Tkalash, who changes the board to “Bosniaks in Paris”. The town drops down to 5 people during his rule. Tkalash disbands it after a week, leaving it up for grabs for anyone to claim.
Late May Many nations start losing players rapidly, some reaching all-time lows. Despite some revival in Africa and Pan Asia by the towns of Dutch Africa and Tianjing, it seems the decline will not stop.
May 21st Grand Siberia is founded.
The Gilded Era comes to a close as many nations and towns struggle to grow
The Flatline Era begins as fewer players join the server and tensions cease to exist
July 2021
July 1st To celebrate MCAtlas' 2nd anniversary, the staff organize another powder hunt.
July 10th A lack of war causes a Literary Boom as Arbiter constructs the Library of Alexandria. More books are published in Krushnovian and English.
July 21st Cuerny publishes his manifesto and founds the Cuernyism Ideology that is a hit in many towns. War breaks out between New Britania (Byzantine Empire) and Vod Krushnov (Grand Siberia). The CSA is founded with its capitol at Miami. Raleigh joins the new nation.
July 22nd Xpants64 publishes his manifesto, which seems to be more liked than cuerny's, but it does not sell as well as curney's.
Late July Xpants64 of Raleigh is given ownership of CSA as Miami is deleted. He changes the name to British Empire. Alexandria slips into inactivity and the library in Pogtopia succeeds it in terms of books and relevance in the Literary Boom.
August 2021
August 2nd Allied Peace is signed between Grand Siberia and New Britania as the Britannic-Siberian Entente is formed. Grand Siberia is forced to pay war reparations.
September 2021
Early September Greater Norway, led by Crowblers, emerges as the largest nation on MCATLAS right after Crowblers changes the name of the nation from Southern France to Greater Norway because of the capital changing from Bordeaux (Obamaville) to Bergen.
October 2021
October 11th The 2021 Florennes Square Massacre
Members of the Tre religion, namely Tre, Tree, Arbiter, and Holyanomoly, all gather in the Florennes square to protest the ban on the popular game, Among Us, in the city of Florennes. just_perq responds harshly as paleles comes in to brutally supress the protestors, killing Holyanomoly and wounding Arbiter. The rest escape to the bunker inside Cordoba, and start a counter attack that would fail miserably, leaving Tree dead and the cause abandoned. This has been likened to the 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre, for the use of heavy troops and brutal suppression of protestors.
November 2021
Early November Crowblers hands over Greater Norway to just_perq after inactivity due to school, Greater Norway becomes the last super nation on MCATLAS.
The Flatline Era abruptly comes to an end.
The End begins as dukesmart announces the entire Ruinscraft network will be closing
November 15th The server owner, dukesmart, announces on the forums that the Ruinscraft network will be shut down. This announcement is met with both joy and sadness from the player base. It singlehandedly kickstarted a rush to preserve artifacts, towns, books, and banners to prevent them from being wiped.
November 17th The Ruinscraft world download collective server is founded to attempt to save as much of the server as possible using a world download program.
December 2021
Early-Mid December Many people have moved on to other servers, including Earthpol, where a city had been founded for refugees from MCAtlas. Towns all across the world are nationless, as many larger nations collapse due to lack of management.
December 19th All forms of taxes are removed from the server.
Late December The server is almost empty. The last major towns are downloaded.
Final Days Old players join the discord to witness the final days of Ruinscraft as a whole. Many players login to enjoy the last days of the server.
December 31st Over 170 players login to the server to be present in its last moments. Chaos ensues on the server. Players with lots of gold in their towns withdraw it all in Winnipeg and lag the server down to 1.8 TPS, causing MCAtlas to crash twice and MCPlots to crash once. In the servers final moments, players from all over the world gather at various towns before MCAtlas closed at 11:59 EST, kicking everyone into the hub. Players spent the last few minutes spamming various expressions of gratitude, as well as "./dab" in reminiscence of the memories made on the server. At 12:03 PM EST, Ruinscraft shut down all of its servers for good.
