The First Ideal for every order of Radiants was the same:

Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination.

These words, a motto and an oath, were the foundation of the Ideals of the Knights Radiant, and each knight's journey of understanding the words was unique. Through their bond with their spren, the Knights Radiant gained access to two surges, along with the ability to draw in and use Stormlight.

Each order of knights has several associations in Vorin culture. Here, I'll mention the associated Herald, gemstone, and colour.

The Ten Orders of Radiants are:

• Windrunners
• Skybreakers
• Dustbringers
• Edgedancers
• Truthwatchers
• Lightweavers
• Elsecallers
• Willshapers
• Stonewards
• Bondsmiths

In the mod

You may become a Radiant by swearing the appropriate Ideals. To do this, type the words of the Ideal in the chat. If you are ready, the words will be accepted by the Stormfather, and you will unlock new abilities. Whether you are ready or not is determined by whether you have said the previous Ideals, and whether you have attained certain advancements. In theory, the advancements needed should reflect the general philosophy of the appropriate order, though in practice there's only so much that can be done lol.

In order to join a particular order of Radiants, you must swear the matching Second Ideal. The only prerequisite for doing so is swearing the First Ideal, which can be done at any time.

At present, many of the Ideals are unknown. While something close to the Second Ideal for each order of Radiant is known, most have no more than that. When the RPG comes out, I may update this with the new Ideals, we'll see.
