Elsecallers bond with Inkspren, and have access to the surges of transformation and transportation. The Inkspren appear as inky people, black with an iridescent sheen, and can choose how large or small they are. The Elsecallers are associated with the Herald Battah, the zircon polestone, and a dark aqua colour.

Elsecaller oaths are, like those of the Lightweavers or Skybreakers, themed toward the individual. In this case, the theme is progress — becoming better with each oath, seeking to explore their true potential and reach it.

In the present day on Roshar, the Inkspren refuse radiant bonds. Only one Elsecaller is known to exist.

As with most, the ideals of the Elsecallers are currently unknown, beyond the first. And so, for the unknown ideals, you currently need only say "I will", followed by whatever you feel is appropriate, to achieve the ideal. You still need the appropriate prerequisites. (This will be updated when the RPG is released).

The Second Ideal of the Elsecallers

After swearing this ideal, the Elsecaller gains access to their surges. After swearing this ideal, an inkspren is summoned, bonded to the Elsecaller.

The Third Ideal of the Elsecallers

In order to swear this ideal, the Elsecaller must have have demonstrated their dedication to self-improvement in one of the following ways:

• Enchant an item at an Enchanting Table
• Acquire diamond armour

After attaining this ideal, the Elsecaller is able to summon their inkspren as a Shardblade! This Blade can be summoned even if you are holding something (you'll drop it!), or by attacking the air with an empty hand, as your spren can anticipate when they are needed!

The Fourth Ideal of the Elsecallers

In order to swear this ideal, the Elsecaller must have have demonstrated their self-improvement in one of the following ways:

• Acquire an Elytra
• Use the Nether to travel 7 km in the Overworld
• Have every potion effect applied at the same time
• Acquire a full suit of netherite armour
• Build a beacon

After attaining this ideal, the Elsecaller is able to summon their own Shardplate! Elsecaller Plate is made of logicspren. Summon it by pressing the Summon Plate Key (` by default). This Plate can be summoned or dismissed at will.
