This magical armour is another relic of the Lost Radiants. Plate is incredibly heavy, and takes several people to transport. When a full set of Plate is worn, however, it grants the wearer incredible strength and speed, along with other related features like the ability to leap incredible distances. When a section of Plate is hit hard enough or often enough, it breaks, throwing (harmless) fragments of molten metal. It must then be regrown by giving it stormlight.

In the mod, equipping a full set of Plate will enhance many abilities. Additionally, this mod uses food in place of stormlight, and so right-clicking with a damaged piece of Shardplate in your hand will drain your hunger in exchange for repairing the Plate. Warning: if a piece of Plate in the mod breaks fully, it is destroyed for good!
