Truthwatchers bond with Mistspren, and have access to the surges of progression and illumination. The Mistspren appear as scattered light, as though refracted from a prism, along surfaces. The Truthwatchers are associated with the Herald Pailiah, the emerald polestone, and the colour green.

Truthwatcher oaths are themed around seeking to find ultimate truth and sharing it. They are very concerned with knowledge and the proper exploitation of it. Note that this should not be confused with the Lightweavers, whose oaths are themed toward personal truths about themselves, said for reasons of self-actualization. Truthwatchers are more concerned with the fundamental truths of the universe, and whether or not those in power are being truthful with the people they lead. - Brandon Sanderson

As with most, the ideals of the Truthwatchers are currently unknown, beyond the first. And so, for the unknown ideals, you currently need only say "I will", followed by whatever you feel is appropriate, to achieve the ideal. You still need the appropriate prerequisites. (This will be updated when the RPG is released).

The Second Ideal of the Truthwatchers

I will seek truth

After swearing this ideal, the Truthwatcher gains access to their surges. After swearing this ideal, a mistspren is summoned, bonded to the Truthwatcher. To swear this ideal, a Truthwatcher must begin their search for truth by:

• Looking at a parrot with a spyglass
• Use a comparator to read a power output from a chiselled bookshelf.

The Third Ideal of the Truthwatchers

I will ...

In order to swear this ideal, the Truthwatcher must have have demonstrated their dedication to uncovering truth in one of the following ways:

• Look at a ghast with a spyglass
• Find a Bastion
• Brush a Suspicious block to obtain a Pottery Sherd

After attaining this ideal, the Truthwatcher is able to summon their mistspren as a Shardblade! This Blade can be summoned even if you are holding something (you'll drop it!), or by attacking the air with an empty hand, as your spren can anticipate when they are needed!

The Fourth Ideal of the Truthwatchers

I will ...

In order to swear this ideal, the Truthwatcher must have have demonstrated their dedication to truth in one of the following ways:

• Look at a dragon with a spyglass
• Carefully make a Decorated Pot out of 4 Pottery Sherds
• Plant a Sniffer Seed

After attaining this ideal, the Truthwatcher is able to summon their own Shardplate! Truthwatcher Plate is made of concentrationspren. Summon it by pressing the Summon Plate Key (` by default). This Plate can be summoned or dismissed at will.
