In many lists the width and visibility of columns and the order of display can be set up. This is made in window settings.
For windows settings the authorization Template is required (ab beas9.0-000-003). If changing window settings and creating a template afterward, the window settings are transferred to this template.

Window settings The following columns are displayed here: Heading Field name Visible Determines, if field is visible Changeable Determines, if field is changeable Color Color of display Bold Displayed bold Italic Displayed italic
Functions Heading Field name Change order Click the title, keep mouse button pressed and move Change width Close the window, set up the field width in the list, re-open window settings and click "update" Reset defaults hmtoggle_plus1 Right click - Button "Standard" window is reset to default values Further properties Right click - details: customized details can set up ( see below) Save form in template If a template is created, current window settings are saved. See Templates Distribute window settings Window settings cannot be distributed but templates can.
Window settings - Details If "fix user setting" is enabled, detailed settings can be overwritten. Column Name Name of column (usually table name and table field) Fix user settings As long this field is disabled, changes are not possible. Text Text to be displayed Formula hmtoggle_plus1 Formulas can be stored (DataWindow-Syntax) for calculations Width Direct entry of width. On the right, the result is displayed. Visible Field visible? Can only be activated, if "activation allowed" was enabled. Change allowed Determines, whether the field may be set to visible Changeable Field changeable. Can only be activated, if "activation allowed" was enabled. Activation allowed Determines, whether the field "changeable" may be activated. NOTE: that does not mean the change is saved - only entries are allowed, without functions. Alignment Determines the alignment. Formatting Determines the format. Further information see beasscript-Documentation Color, Bold, Italic Color, Bold, Italic Color Formula hmtoggle_plus1 With DataWindow-Syntax the color can be returned directly: Column type hmtoggle_plus1 Determines whether this column may be searched or sorted Reference A orange arrow is displayed. CLicking it, the entered script is executed. Example: open item window openchild=artikel_edit.psrs_parm1=<oitm_itemcode>
Values hmtoggle_plus1 A selection list can be stored, which opens with right click.
