Eidolai - mlichtenstein/13thAgeSK GitHub Wiki
Each of the Eidolai is associated with a concept, most often a way of being or acting, and they appear to encourage acts consistent with that concept. Some theological traditions hold that these beings epitomize their particular ideal, standing as a divine paragon. Others maintain that these beings actually define their identity-concept, and their eternal existence renders that concept fundamental, rather than derived from more intrinsic elements or socially constructed. The implications of this distinction are clear. Neither paradigm, however, precludes the possibility of distortions between the beings' identity-concepts and the versions persistent in a society. The actual number of Eidolai is unknown.
Known Eidolai are represented in the list below. As these represent Eidolai identified in numerous cultures, several coherent concepts may refer to the same being. As different cultures treat them differently, some are identified by word, some by concept, and some by name used in that culture.
