Participation Guidelines for Online Events (Festivals)

  • Each year, there is an online event with a collection of works called the Festival.
  • The following is a summary of what you may need to know in order to participate as a creator.

How to join

0. Prepare your email address

  • The event will use your e-mail address to communicate with your work.
  • If you have not yet obtained an e-mail address, please obtain one such as Gmail.

1. Declaration of participation

  • This is a statement of intent to participate in the event before submitting your work.
You are not required to report your work at this point. This does not force you to participate in the event.
Normally, you will follow the template below to submit your participation comments.
  • For some events, this may not be required.

2. Before creating your work

  • Rhythm games such as "Dancing☆Onigiri" use copyrighted materials such as music, images, and fonts.
  • There is no problem with original music and materials that you have created yourself, but there may be cases where other copyrighted materials may not be used.
  • Please make sure that there are no problems in accordance with the guidelines for the use of the copyright holder's website, and if there is no specific statement, please ASK the copyright holder for PERMISSION to publish the website.
  • With a few exceptions, copyrighted songs (CD music, streaming music and songs, etc.) are not allowed at most events because they incur charges.

3. Create your work

4. Set a hashtag for your work

  • In order to distinguish the work as an event piece, the chart report will usually announce that a specific hashtag should be added to the chart.
  • In "Dancing☆Onigiri (CW Edition)", the chart will include a hashTag item in the chart.
|hashTag=#festa7_23w| *Hashtag names vary by event.

5. Upgrade the main unit

  • If the source of the main unit is old, there is a possibility that functional differences and defects may remain, so please upgrade the main unit unless there is any particular problem.
  • For details on how to update the main unit, please refer to How to upgrade for how to update the main unit.

6. Publish your work data on the web

Notes.

  • DO NOT post the uploaded URL to social networking sites such as Twitter or Discord.

7. Work submission

  • Follow the submission requirements of the event and submit your work prior to the submission deadline.
  • The template to be used at the Multi-Key Festival will be used as a reference for the description.
(This may not always be the case, so please check the event page)

1. Deadline for submission of works

  • Usually set about a week or two weeks before the event date. Closing time varies depending on the event.
  • There are no restrictions on submissions.
  • There tends to be a rush to submit just before the deadline. There is no need to submit in bulk. We recommend submitting your work as it is completed in order to reduce errors.
  • If you are going to make major changes using customJs, it is best to inform the event before completion.

2. Until the work revision deadline

  • This will only be set for a few days after the work submission deadline has passed. No work can be added at this time.

  • If you wish to submit your work after the event date, you may do so via Twitter. Please check the event page for the time limit on when you can submit your work.
  • We may accept entries in advance during the modification period. Please check the event page.
