Ports are powerful means to define a structure with specified points of interactions (Ports). The Port type is the specification of the interaction point. hoTools also works for:

• SysML Part
• Activity Parameter
• Action Pin
• Required and Provided Interface

SPARX calls them 'Embedded Elements' and 'Structured Elements'.

hoTools support the following features:

• Show and Hide Port ('SP', 'HP', 'SPL', 'HPL', 'HPT')
• Rotate Port Label ('RL')
• Default Port Label layout ('AL', 'AL2')
• Move Port ('<','>', '/','/')
• Move Port Label ('<L','>L', '/\L','/L')
• Locate Part or Port Type
• Synchronize Ports of Part with its owning Block/Class
