E3 (AI) / 7 AI basic examples / 7.2 JNano (Gdrive)

This is the big goal I have had for 6 months (I had a lot of other goals along the way): To get a copter in the air that has a CC that does object recognition and sends a simple command to the copter to land.

There are 2 basic stages (there were a lot of small problems, so the docs are perhaps still a bit chaotic):

  • E3-7.2.1 Kitchen build/test
    • GET OBJRECOG RUNNING ON NANO (see doc 2.3-4_10_lines_v03_24.0609.docx in same gdrive dir)
    • Connect Jnano/6c (via USB-ttl)
    • Add camera
    • Write python pymavlink script
    • Add battery power for Jnano, test
    • Kitchen test (with RC, QGC, etc)
  • E3-7.2.2 Outdoors (kitchen build/test, outdoors flight test)
    • Auto startup for Jnano (this took several days to find a hack that worked)
    • Physical mount of camera, Jnano, etc
    • Kitchen test (with RC, QGC, etc)
    • Flight test
