This subtle corruption was noticed by ancient grammarians and may have even been the namegiver of a later misinterpreted 'รฏ' iota ฮนฯŽฯ„ฮฑ โ‰ˆ โฒ“โฒŸฯฏ eiลt.
While today iota often refers to the tiny yodh ื™ dot on top of the ฮน, turning 'ฮน' into 'i', originally it may have
distinguished aita from Vรคter.
