Karlsruhe City

Karlsruhe lies completely to the east of the Rhine, and almost completely on the Upper Rhine Plain. It contains the Turmberg in the east, and also lies on the borders of the Kraichgau leading to the Northern Black Forest. The city official website is.

Universities

Karlsruhe is home to several universities and educational institutions, including:

• Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT):

1. The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology is distributed over North, East, West, South and several locations. While the campus north is situated in the administrative district of Karlsruhe near Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen, the campus south is about 10 km away in the heart of the city of Karlsruhe. Moreover, there are further locations in the city of Karlsruhe, as well as in the city of Dresden, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Ulm.
2. KIT buildings are usually marked with building number like 10.20 as seen in the Campus Maps.
3. You can easily travel within different campus via bikes, KIT-shuttle or trams i.e., Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund (KVV).
