The Obscurists - endlessm/threadbare GitHub Wiki
The dark cult of Null, headquartered in the Observatory of the Obscure, high above the Absurdity Abyss. Many of the first Obscurists were, by most accounts, among the most promising minds the University of the Unseen ever produced, but any Threadling can become an Obscurist, and many have.
The Obscurists follow Null because they believe Null knows how to build the perfect world, and they are right that Null is the original Elder sent to build one. They hold to the Tenets of Null, the Three Denials, and they believe the Void is part of the solution: a tool Null uses to fix the flawed parts of the Weave.
They understand the Unweaving as a seamstress understands unpicking. When a seam is badly sewn, you unpick it, so that it can be sewn again properly. The Obscurists believe they are unpicking a flawed world so that Null can weave it again, perfectly. Only Null knows there will be no second weaving. Most Obscurists do not realise that Null is helping the Void to unravel everything, and that Null's perfect world is the nothing.
They carry Null's creatures, the Fray, out into the world and set them loose, and they call them the Children of Null. See The Undoing of Knot.
