The Observists - endlessm/threadbare GitHub Wiki

Threadbare's scientific community - theorists, explorers, researchers, and philosophers housed at the University of the Unseen. Where the Elders of the Eternal Loom hold that the Weave is sustained by story and belief, the Observists hold the patient, contrary position that it can also be measured: that the Void has a mechanism, a rate, a shape, and that understanding it is as valid a form of care as any KnitWitch's mending.

It is unglamorous, occasionally dangerous work. Observists chart the fraying borders of regions no one else will map, catalogue the last known accounts of settlements the Void has taken, and argue fiercely, in University lecture halls, over theories that can rarely be tested twice. Their finest achievement, the Observatory of the Unseen, now the Observatory of the Obscure, is also their greatest loss, a reminder that observing the unseen too closely carries its own price.
