Update for Remote Play v6.0+

Remote Play v6.0 and future do not work with the virtual controller system that ClubmanSharp uses. Therefore, ClubmanSharp v1.2.0 has a built-in system to replace the required Remote Play files with the v5.5 version, modified to report as version 100. This allows the program to pass the version check, and it still works fine. You can run the built-in patcher from the startup page in ClubmanSharp.

If the patch does not seem to work, it may leave the patch files in the ClubmanSharp directory. You can follow the steps below for manual patching with the files downloaded by ClubmanSharp.

You can manually patch by installing the latest version of Remote Play and then overwriting the files in its install directory (usually located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\PS Remote Play") with the files from the following zip: Zip with patch files to overwrite those in the installation directory

Remote Play alternative

If you have issues using Remote Play, you can try using Chiaki instead. Chiaki is an open-source alternative to the official Remote Play client. However, support for installing and setting up Chiaki will not be provided here. There's also an alternate to Chiaki still receiving new features: chiaki-ng. As with Chiaki, this isn't used by us so we can't provide any support for it.

Usage guide

ClubmanSharp requires the latest ViGEmBus, available by clicking here.

ClubmanSharp uses the Tokyo Expressway Clubman Cup Plus event, not the Japanese Clubman Cup 550 event.

Performance cannot be guaranteed with unsupported tunes. Verify you've got everything in the tune correct if you are above the PP limit, or are getting very slow laptimes.

New in 1.1.0: You can now set your confirm button to be Cross (X) or Circle (O) in the app natively without changing PS4 settings. Asia region PS4 systems use Circle (O) by default to navigate menus. The confirm button can be changed from Cross (X) to Circle (O) via the Settings tab inside the ClubmanSharp window.

You must set Pedal Controls to R2/L2, Steering to Left Stick, and Nitrous to R3 button. Other controls don't matter. Automatic gearing assist is required. TCS 0, ASM off, Countersteer Assist off, Controller Steering Sensitivity 10 will all help the bot go as fast as possible.

Some sets of AI may be too slow (causing contact on the last lap) or too fast (causing contact at turn 1), leading to the bot losing the Clean Race Bonus due to a heavy side-on-side car impact. If you notice this happening, leave the event and reenter to re-roll the AI grid. As this tool does not use pixel checks, it cannot inform you when it doesn't achieve a Clean Race Bonus. Latency or other issues with your Remote Play setup may cause issues.

Turn on a password requirement for PlayStation purchases before using any script or tool. You must start Remote Play with no controller connected to your PC. You can minimise Remote Play as of the current version. Enter your PS4/PS5's local IP address and hit Start while on the Tokyo Clubman+ pre-race menu.

It is recommended to use HidHide to prevent the emulated controller interacting with the desktop: https://github.com/ViGEm/HidHide/releases This tool can be used to hide the emulated controller from all applications except PS Remote Play.

After GT7 has been open for more than 1 day, you may experience issues due to game lag. Close and reopen the game to solve this.

Supported tunes

Only the specific parts and tuning setup listed are definitely supported! Click on the car's name to view the setup required.

  • Suzuki Jimny Sierra JC '18 (expected race time ~6:16-6:20)
    • (available from Brand Central - Collector Level 50 required)
      • Depending on the grid of opponents, this tune may require adjusting the throttle slider in the settings tab to keep Clean Race Bonus. Most lineups will cause the Sierra to collide into P5 near the end of the race, possibly losing CRB.
  • Suzuki Jimny XC '18 (expected race time ~6:29-6:32)
    • (available from Brand Central - Collector Level 50 required)
  • Subaru Impreza Coupe WRX Type R STi Ver.VI '99 (expected race time ~6:36-6:38)
    • (only available from Used Car Dealership)
  • Subaru WRX STI Type S '14 (expected race time ~6:42-6:44)
    • (available from Brand Central or rewarded with 3rd place or higher on Trial Mountain Circuit during Menu Book 19: Japanese Rally Base Cars)
