5. Editing Chart Data in the Editor

  • Open the editor from the preview site to edit the sheet music.
  • You can use any link, but selecting "Window" will open it in a separate window, allowing you to edit while viewing the screen.
  • Let's try loading the Easy chart. Return to this link,
    and copy all the text below that says "Easy chart."
  • Once the editor is open, hold down the "Ctrl" key and press "V."
    Make sure the display changes to “Load from Clipboard.”
  • Next, drag and drop your music files into the window. Make sure the screen looks like the image below, then click the "LOAD" button.
  • Make sure the sheet music is displayed.
  • Each frame represents a 16th note, and time progresses from bottom to top. Pressing "Enter" will play the song at that point. Press "Enter" again to stop it.
  • You can use the left and right arrow keys to move to the next or previous page.
  • You can enter notes by clicking on a frame or pressing the corresponding key. Try adding and removing frames to see how it works.
  • When you're done, press "GO!". The sheet music data will be copied to the clipboard.

6. Paste the edited chart into the preview site to check the results

  • On the preview site mentioned earlier, starting from line 10 of the chart data (the section that reads |left_data=...|) and continuing through
    the second-to-last line (up to the point before |endFrame=1:25|), paste the content you copied earlier. Click "Send" again to verify that the chart content has changed.
  • You can make similar edits to the Normal and Hard charts as well.
  • When pasting, be careful not to overwrite the content in the Easy chart.

7. Download the File

  • You can download the sheet music you created by clicking "Download As File" on the preview page.
  • When you download the file, a file named "BoisterousBeeDance.html" will be downloaded.
  • Create a folder to manage Dancing-Onigiri, and place the downloaded HTML file inside it.
  • Also, create a folder named "tmp" and place the MP3 files inside it.

  • Double-click the HTML file in this state to launch Dancing-Onigiri and start playing.
  • When uploading the files to the server, simply upload the entire folder you just created, and the game will be playable.
