Termites are a food item obtained from acacia rotting logs and jungle rotting logs, and the bug box, and is part of several diets to feed tamed animals.
When an acacia rotting log or jungle rotting log is mined, there is a 10% chance for a single termites item to drop instead of the rotting log block. When mined with a Fortune-enchanted tool, this chance increases to 16% at Fortune I, 25% at Fortune II, and 100% at Fortune III. Rock hides mined with Silk Touch never produces termites.

Termites can be used to breed ambient Betta, Scorpion, Dottyback, and Salmon. Termites will also make their babies grow up faster by 10% of the remaining time.
