Mealworms are a food item obtained from dark oak rotting logs and oak rotting logs, and the bug box, and is part of several diets to feed tamed animals.

Harvesting

When a dark oak rotting log or oak rotting log is mined, there is a 10% chance for a single mealworms item to drop instead of the rotting log block. When mined with a Fortune-enchanted tool, this chance increases to 16% at Fortune I, 25% at Fortune II, and 100% at Fortune III. Rock hides mined with Silk Touch never produces mealworms.

Breeding

Mealworms can be used to breed ambient Tarantula and Praying Mantis. Mealworms will also make their babies grow up faster by 10% of the remaining time.
