The Bad Girls is the name given to a gang of girls at Saint Alancia's. They happily use the name themselves and do not seem concerned by its negative connotations. They are characterised by their bullying behaviour and identified by the red ribbons they wear in their hair. Though they do not seem to get along all that well with anyone outside their own group, they are particularly antagonistic towards the Popular Girls.
Organisation
The bad girls do not have formal roles or structure. Malia describes them as "like a pack of wild animals, operating on prison rules - strongest give the orders, weakest follow them." In this regard, the toughest and most cruel girls tend to assume leadership roles. Poppy is currently the most feared bad girl at Saint Alancia's and so the rest follow her, while she in turn is happy to self-identify as their leader. Jessica is the unspoken leader of the first year bad girls, though as her minions are fairly stupid and she herself is easily the smartest, this is just as likely an explanation as any.

Trivia
The Bad Girls' distinctive red ribbons were added to differentiate their sprites in the game, so the player would have a clue that they were about to talk to a bad girl, and were the best thing available in the VX Ace sprite maker. Later, when the game was migrated to RPG Maker MZ and the sprites were remade, there were no ribbons available, so they had to be re-made from scratch, using the VX Ace ribbons as a starting point.
