The Ranged Pump, a version of the IndustrialCraft 2 Classic (IC2C) Pump, works similarly to the BuildCraft Pump.

Contrasting IC2C's other Pumps, the Ranged Pump draws from a "pool" of liquid, instead of the liquid directly beneath it. The Ranged Pump using Mining Pipes to "pick up" the liquid, and will not search through blocks to pump liquids, nor destroy blocks to pump liquids. The Ranged Pump takes 30 ticks and 10 EU/t (300 EU per pump) to pump up one block.

The use of a Filtered Fluid Scanner will allow the user to whitelist fluids for the Ranged Pump to collect. The Range is determined by the Fluid Scanner placed in the Ranged Pump.
