General Settings - Suvidriel/VNyanDoc GitHub Wiki

VNyan's general settings can be found under Menu > Settings in the top right of your VNyan window. In the settings menu, you will find various options to configure your tracking, video and audio settings, service integrations, and more.

VNyan has many layers of animation that are blended and added to your model. From the initial base layer, there are separate layers for each type of tracking (Web Camera, ARKit, Leap Motion, and four VMC layers), the pose system, the animation system, the PoseLayer (used by the Expressive Body Tilt and other plugins), and the Additive Bone Rotation nodes.

Unless otherwise specified, you should assume that all tracking layers are blended after the base layer. Some exceptions to this are the PoseLayer, which is applied between tracking and the Additive Bone Rotation nodes, as well as the Pose and Animation systems, which can be configured so that Leap Motion tracking is applied afterwards.

Different tracking methods can be mixed to achieve the desired tracking result. However, tracking is applied in order, and tracking values from later tracking layers will overwrite those from earlier layers if applied. The order, from first to last, that tracking layers are applied is: SteamVR > VMC 1 > VMC 2 > VMC 3 > VMC 4 > ARKit > Web Camera > Leap Motion. If, for example, you want to use VMC tracking for body movements and iPhone ARKit tracking for facial expressions, then the Apply values for body parts under ARKit Tracking should be disabled.

Available tracking layers:

Tracking Effects are special movement effects added to your model to make it look more alive. VNyan's animation nodes contain options to temporarily disable these effects where they conflict or clash with the animation.

For the other services, login details must be specified in their respective settings menus before pressing the login button.

Known Issues:
For Twtich, Pulsoid and Tiltify, when the login button is clicked, a login page will open, prompting the user to log in. If this page is closed too soon after it is opened, the handler for these services will crash, and these pages cannot be re-opened until VNyan is restarted.
