The Lava Tag is an object in Sonic the Hedgehog, appearing in Marble Zone. It is an invisible object spanning across a designated rectangular space based on its subtype, similar to the Invisible Solid Barrier. This object is placed over portions of the foreground with exposed lava, allowing the lava to damage Sonic. Without this tag, Sonic would take no damage from walking on the lava tiles. If it is placed in the air, Sonic can phase through it if invincible, due to the tag having no solidity.
