A mercenary band of ill repute. They operate out of a prestigious keep near Witpool. They are known for having a tattoo on the back of their neck: a black sword in a circle.

Earl Peter Hawkstone allows them to operate out of there for some reason. He tried to hire them to kill Geron Grunewald, but they were already hired to kill Edarin the Seer and obtain the Shield of Eadwild. The party was able to defeat some of them at the Tower of Dramorn, preventing them from obtaining the Shield of Eadwild.

They consist primarily of martial fighters. They are not known for spellcasting.
