Ancient Citadel

The Ancient Citadel is a complex underground structure, home to the abyss boss, the Contagion Incarnation

Generation

This structure can generate in Deep Forests and Waste Land. It is found deep underground, its pillars touching the level -53.

Mobs

Numerous Soul Spawner can generate in the Ancient Citadel, in pathways and in the Ancient Laboratory. Therefore, many shadows can be found there. The main room that is always generated in this structure is the Ancient Laboratory. It contains the Dysfunctionning Catalyst that can be used to summon the Contagion Incarnation.

Ancient Laboratory

The Ancient Laboratory is the center of the Ancient Citadel. In the room of the tower at its center can be found the Dysfunctionning Catalyst. Once it is filled with all crystal types, the gates of the Ancient Laboratory begin to close. Then, the fountain of liquid corruption below the tower is covered with a layer of Solid Corruption, and the Contagion Incarnation emerge from it.

Many Soul Spawners can be found in the Ancient Laboratory.

Librairy

The Librairy is a part of the Ancient Citadel can can randomly generate. Inside, chests with interesting loot are found, such as crystals, enchanted books, diamonds tools and armors, corrupted essence, enchanted golden apple, etc.

Tesseract

The tesseract is a container for many crystals. It has many radiance and deep crystals inside it, but it is also filled with corruption. Some black lantern around it can be replaced by Soul Spawners.

Hall of Glass

The Hall of glass is an interesting part of the Ancient Citadel that can randomly generate. It contains a variety of different modules, one among which is a lectern with some story about the ancients. In the center of the Hall of glass, a Wind Whisperer can always be found.

Crystal Ring

The crystal ring is a massive multicolored structure around which a ring drain power from it. The crystal tower is filled with liquid corruption, and some radiance cristals or deepcristals can be found on it.

Hothouse

The Hothouse is a half-sphere containing trees and vegetation. The crystal in its center is deeply corrupted, being filled with liquid corruption flowing from it. You can find some power crystals there (deepcristal or radiance cristal).
