Apparition
Shadows can spawn naturally when an entity that is not a shadow is killed with a "corrupted" source. This includes Liquid Corruption damage, Corrupted mob effect, and damages from Corruption Monsters (Parasytes, Contagion Incarnation and shadows are corruption monsters). They can be summoned using a spawn egg in the creative menu or using the command \summon wardentools:shadow
In the Ancient Citadel, Soul Spawners can generate and summon Shadows.
Drops
Shadows drop nothing when killed.
Behavior
Shadows take the body of the entity that died before they were summoned if they spawn due to a mob dying from a corrupted source.
When a player or a villager is killed by a corrupted source, a special humanoid shadow spawns and floats in the air in stasis, waiting for a target.
When a Soul Spawners summons a shadow, it is directly in stasis.
Any shadow that has not target for longer than 5 minutes go into stasis.
When a shadow is in stasis, it listens for surrounding noises. If a player in survival mod make noise close to shadow in stasis, it awakes and attack the closest player. Once awaken, shadows can see perfectly.
