๐Ÿ’ซ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why don't I get all the cards for a badge?

There are two possible reasons for not getting card drops for your games:

  1. The game was free and does not give you any card drops: "Games are now given away under 100% off discount, and no longer drop trading cards."
  2. You have received all the cards you are eligible for: Make sure you are eligible for card drops

All card drops are handled by the Steam servers and you are not supposed to get all the cards for each badge:

Why are the card drops so slow? I have waited hours!

The card drop rates are handled by the Steam servers. There is nothing Idle Master Extended can do about that.

Your drop rate will depend on several factors such as:

  • Steam account status (e.g. Limited User Accounts).
  • Steam account level.
  • Number of games you have refunded recently.
  • How often a game publisher has set cards to be dropped in their game.

Some threads covering this frequently asked question:

How can I stop spamming my friends with games Idle Master Extended starts?

Based on that Idle Master Extended will start processes on your computer that Steam thinks are actual games there are two alternatives to hide your currently played games:

  • Alternative A: Change privacy settings on your profile to stay online without your friends knowing which games you are playing
  • Alternative B: Change your current online status to invisible

Steam thinks my idled games are installed. What can I do?

For some reason Steam will cache your game status and this can result in them being marked as installed, even though they are not. The following should fix the game status cache:

  1. Restarting Steam
  2. Clearing the download cache and restart Steam again

Why is Idle Master Extended marked as malware?

A few security vendors are marking Idle Master Extended as suspicious software based on the behavior of the executable (this is true for the original Idle Master as well). In short there are parts of the program that some anti-malware vendors consider risky, e.g. creating configuration files in the user directory and dropping steam-idle.exe plus steam_api.dll on startup.
