Special armor and Skill Helmets: 18 additional model studies

Release: Minecraft 1.21.1 / AoA 3.7.16.1. This reference joins 48 four-piece sets and 12 individual pieces, covering 204 registered items and 55 material definitions. It reads released class instructions; it is not a playtest of their effects or a promise that every item is obtainable in your world. The image shows inventory models, not worn-body renders.
See the complete suits: 48 neutral armor-only 3D studies now complement the inventory pictures. These use the official vanilla armor meshes and released texture layers, with explicit runtime limits.
Prepare before the encounter
- Match the release shown above to your installation. A familiar item name does not establish identical properties in an older release.
- Pick a set below and open its four item cards. Each card links the matching helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots, plus exact-item recipe and mob-drop searches. An empty recipe/drop result does not prove the item is unobtainable: another mechanic, trader or a different build can supply it.
- Read the intended special effects separately. Base armor and toughness are inputs, not a damage-block percentage. Material totals alone cannot rank fall protection, ranged bonuses, resource effects or encounter-specific utility.
- Check the real worn slots and applicable equipment requirements. Eleven special headpieces declare compatibility with any set, but that does not waive the other pieces or guarantee every special effect on every modpack.
- Check remaining condition and your repair method before leaving. This release's inspected material builders use an empty normal repair ingredient; that is not a blanket prohibition on Mending, custom recipes or other repair systems. See the separate Mending Table guide.
- Test the complete loadout in a safe place before a boss. Difficulty, damage type, attributes, enchantments, equipment checks, active data and other mods can change the result.
What the item-card numbers mean
- Base armor: the material's slot-specific input. Do not read “5” as “5% damage reduction.”
- Toughness: the per-piece material input, not a whole-set total or a universal resistance percentage.
- Knockback resistance: all 55 inspected material builders leave this material input at zero. Separate special attributes and effects can still matter.
- Enchantability: normally 10 here; Skill Helmet material sets 20, Old Boot sets 0. Eligibility and behavior can be overridden separately.
- Durability reference: the inspected official vanilla slot formula multiplies the AoA constructor's base multiplier by 11 for a helmet, 16 for a chestplate, 15 for leggings, or 13 for boots. Cards label this as a vanilla-formula reference, not a measured live-modpack guarantee.
- Skill helmets: all six add an unbreakable component and override
getMaxDamageto return 0. The hidden base calculation is not ordinary wear capacity. The cards call this out instead of advertising a misleading 550-use lifetime.
All 48 checked sets
Each slot link opens its exact item, including the recipe/drop searches and collapsible armor panel. Defense order below is helmet / chestplate / leggings / boots, deliberately different from the internal builder's parameter order. Toughness is per piece. Durability values are vanilla-formula references, in the same slot order.

Individual pieces and universal headpieces
“Any-set” below records the released boolean compatibility method. It is not a claim that an arbitrary mix of unrelated body pieces grants every set bonus. Old Boot is registered in the general item registry and is included here because it is actually an AdventArmour subclass.

When a set seems not to work
- Check every occupied armor slot and the exact item IDs. Similar colors or names do not establish the same material.
- Check whether the bonus is per piece, full-set only, conditional on damage type, or handled by another event. This base-property table intentionally does not invent a complete special-effect summary.
- Check skill/equipment requirements and the active build. Creative behavior is not a substitute for a Survival test.
- If the card shows no recipe, follow its drop search and the trading guides, then inspect the build's acquisition data. Do not copy an old-release recipe into a modern page without evidence.
- If an armor panel is absent on an older-release card, that means this modern evidence was not substituted into it.
Evidence and remaining work
Released material, registration and method evidence · Illustration provenance
The evidence retains class hashes, selected method bytes, registration callbacks, material builder chains, special-helmet overrides and the official vanilla durability formula. No Java classes were executed. Remaining work includes complete per-set effect walkthroughs, animation, exact acquisition routes, equipment requirement reconciliation and real client/server acceptance. These are open tasks, not completed checkmarks.
Upstream context: AoA armor registration and material builders. The released archive remains authoritative for this page where the source snapshot differs. AoA art and systems are credited to Tslat and contributors; vanilla references to Mojang/Microsoft.
Choose a set by its effects
The 48-set effects and activation guide pairs every set preview with its released tooltip, reviews all 48 sets, including cross-class effects and unresolved summoning paths and flags the Alacrity partial-set source mismatch. The Armor Atelier also searches effect wording such as oxygen, Spirit and fire.
