Wiki; About - HWRM/KarosGraveyard GitHub Wiki

The Homeworld Remastered Karos Graveyard is the largest modding wiki for Homeworld Remastered.

History

The Karos Graveyard was founded by ThoughtProcess in 2003 as a modding wiki for Homeworld 2. From 2003 to 2007 modders from the community contributed to the wiki, most notably Mikali and many others as credited further down this page. The wiki grew to over a thousand pages and became an invaluable resource. Unfortunately around 2007 the site was experiencing technical difficulties and contributions largely halted. Several several static mirrors were created, but the ability to update the wiki was gone.

In 2015 Homeworld Remastered was released on an updated version of the Homeworld 2 game engine. Hence a large majority of the wiki was still relevant to Homeworld Remastered. However there was not an editable version of the wiki available. Other similar wikis were started, but they lacked the vast content of the original.

In May 2020 the Karos Graveyard was fully reconstructed on GitHub details. The wiki is now functional and dedicated to Homeworld Remastered modding. The content is being updated from HW2C to HWRM as needed, but most of the content still applies. See the Road Map for future plans.
