MMVS (Dev Server)
Once you join the MMVS Team as a volunteer or for a job, you will be added to the MMVS Dev Server on Discord.
Why discord? Because it's a great way to communicate and share stuff with the team.
But Discord is blocked in some countries and limits the file size you can upload.
So we may move to Rocket.Chat and Redmine in the future.
Channels
๐ข Announcements (chat)
Here I will post all announcements related to the game development, like new preview builds, translation updates, etc.
I will also post important announcements related to the team, like new volunteers, new job openings, etc.
๐ฌ Blabla (chat)
Here you can talk about anything, share memes, etc.
๐ Issue reports (forums)
Here you can report every issue that is not a bug. And discuss inside.
Example : "The light map contains glitch here", "The level design is wrong here", "Talas is too less expressive", etc
If you report in :๐ Issue reports (forums)
- You need follow the issue form for any new issue.
- If the issue is already reported you can add details.
- Or notify that the issue is still here in the current version
In the issue report forum I will use specific tags to check the status of the issue:

For issues depending the importance we will add specific tags to prioritize them:

If you found an issue that is already reported in a previous build you can notify that it still exists in the current build.

You can also click on the Plus emoji "โ" to add a reaction to the issue.
๐ Bug reports (forums)
Here you can report any bug. One post per bug, you need to respect a strict form.
Both major and minor bugs.

If you report in :๐ Bug reports (forums)
- You need follow the Tester Bug Reports Form for any new bug.
- If the bug is already reported you can add details.
- Or notify that the bug is still here in the current version
In the bug report forum I will use specific tags to check the status of the bug:

๐ก Suggestions (forums)
Here you can make suggestions related to game dev.
If you need tools to do more efficient game testing? Software for translations? In-game tools for teleport or noclip, etc.
For common suggestions related to the game, it is better to post in the main server in the suggestion forum.
In the suggestion forum I will use specific tags to check the status of the suggestion:

For accepted suggestions depending on the importance we will add specific tags to prioritize them:

๐ฎ Game-testing (chat)
Here you can share stuff about your game testing,
have common discussions about it, search for bugs and ask for help about it.
You can also report small bugs and issues. (I read all the messages)
If you report in :๐ฎ Game-testing (chat)
- If the bug if very easy to fix I will just fix it and notify you
- If the bug is more complicated to fix or if I can't fix now I will ask you to report in :bug: Bug reports (forums)
(So I don't miss it)
I will also use specific emotes to check:
- What need to be fixed โ ๏ธ,
- what is fixed โ
- And what moved to Issue report (forums) or Bug reports (forums) โคด๏ธ
- And have I have not yet check don't have emotes.
For minor bugs you can report in the game-testing chat if you think it is a bug that can be fixed easily, otherwise or if I ask you can report in Issue report (forums) or Bug reports (forums).
It because many minor bugs can't be fixed without doing big changes in the code.

Here you can have common discussions about the game translation, issues related to the localization, help about translation sense, etc.

- If the issue if very easy to fix I will just fix it and notify you

Here you can report small issues related to grammar or English and have small discussions.
For grammar issue with longer discussions, it's better to post in Issue report (forums).
It is why I use the slowmode in this channel.
