Description

Card is a handwork tool that can be used as a final refining step in the processing of Sisal, Cotton and Wool fibers by separating them and aligning them, making them easier to spin.

Recipe

Craft a Thorn Card by using 2 bunches of Thorns, resin, and a Comb Paddle.

Thorns

Thorns can be harvested by right-clicking shrubs or undergrowth with a knife, along with Resin.

Comb Paddle

Wooden Comb paddle can be carved from a Board. Drill is required to make several holes.

Usage

Right click while holding a Card to attach and start carding coarse fibers that are present in adjacent slot to the right of the Card. Fibers are consumed once successfully attached to the Card.

Right click and hold the Card to refine the fibers that have been attached. The progress is indicated with the damage-like bar filling up as well as the attached fibers being visually changed on the item.

When the carding process is complete, right click the Card while sneaking to retrieve the refined fibers.

By default, the process of carding takes about 6 real time seconds. Feel free to change the value of crafting.cardingDurationMultiplier in the configuration to adjust the duration according to your needs.

Notes

• Carding fibers is an optional step, but it allows the fibers to be spun with a Spindle much easier.
