History
2001: Tony Craig founded Sonnet Wine Cellars during his tenure as winemaker for David Bruce Winery in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Craig led the Pinot Noir vineyard designation program at David Bruce for twelve years.
Tony Craig is a former Shakespearean actor from Newcastle, England, hence the name "Sonnet." He is also winemaker for Silver Mountain (2018-present), Savannah-Chanelle (2003-present), and Tondré Wines.
Sonnet is dedicated to producing wines that capture and express the character of Pinot Noir at its most sublime. The wines have become some of the most sought-after Pinot Noir in California.
