Pre-Prohibition: Property known as Ville de Monmartre, planted with head-pruned Zinfandel and Cabernet Franc vines.
Post-Prohibition: Vineyard lay derelict until Daniel Gehrs discovered it and founded Congress Springs Vineyards.
Early 1990s: Gehrs sold the vineyard to a British corporation.
1992-1996: Owned by the Mariana family.
1996-present: Purchased by Michael and Kellie Ballard, who renamed it "Savannah-Chanelle Vineyards" after their daughters Savannah and Chanel.
2003: Tony Craig joined as winemaker.
Boutique, family-owned winery in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Michael and Kellie Ballard are involved in all aspects of the operation. The property includes a Villa used as the family's vacation home.
