VILLE DE MONMARTRE - scmwine/Wineries GitHub Wiki

Ville de Monmartre was established in 1892 by Pierre Pourroy and his brother Eloy.

The brothers planted head-pruned Zinfandel vines some time around 1910 and Cabernet Franc vines around 1920. Those vines are believed to still be in production today.

The winery did not reopen after prohibition; it lay derelict until the 1970s when it was resurrected by Daniel Gers as Congress Springs. Today the property is known as Savannah-Channelle
