hmtoggle_plus1 Notes on sorting
The list is loaded completely. At opening it is sorted by structure. Re-sorting by SQL (eg Template settings) are ignored. Only DataWindow-Sorting (z.B: via right click on header) are allowed.
Sorting by structure is saved in column "Structure Pos"
Field Meaning Position hmtoggle_plus1 Unique position number Can only be changed during new creation. Start and step width can be set up in configuration wizard.
hmtoggle_plus1 Customization Determination of position number can be manipulated using the function: workordermanagement.precreatebelpos()
Example: workordermanagement.src (in Project folder) // For Items Axxx use Position 100, 101... // for all other: 200,201... function precreatebelpos // aviable: // e_belnr_id, e_belpos_id, e_itemcode, e_project if <e_itemcode,left 1> = A then setvar=ll_group=100 else setvar=ll_group=200 end if select <ll_group> + ifnull(max("POS_ID"),0)+1 & into e_pos_id FROM "BEAS_FTPOS" & where "ItemCode"=<e_itemcode,dbstring> end
field: BEAS_FTPOS.BELPOS_ID
Barcode hmtoggle_plus1 Unique Bar code for this position This bar code is printed on documents, it can be entered in various screens for selecting the production assembly.
Configuration: xxxxxxyyy x=Document number 6 digits, y=Position number
If 6 digits for a document number or 3 digits for position number are not sufficient, counting is continued alphanumerically
Example for position from 999: 998, 999, A00, A01, A02 .. A09, A0A ..
Bar code for document 28, Position 1050 would be 000028A1E
Example document number from 999999: 999999, A00000, A00001, ... A00009, A0000A ..
The bar code for document 20500100 position 2050 wold be ABLYDGAT6
The highest possible document number is 2117316159, the highest possible position number 34695.
hmtoggle_plus1 Bar code determination Via beas script the Bar code can be determined as follows belnr_id = document number (BEAS_FTPOS.BELNR_ID) belpos_id = work order item (BEAS_FTPOS.BEPOS_ID)
// generate Barcode object=ue_fert_tools=barcode=<belnr_id>=<belpos_id> // show result (variable e_barcode) messagebox=info$$barcode = <e_barcode>
field: BEAS_FTPOS.BARCODE
Item hmtoggle_plus1 Item number of the assembly. This entry can no longer be changed after saving. All items with procurement method "produce" can be selected.
hmtoggle_plus1 Release Item needs to be released for production. If the item is not released, the following error is issued: prdrel40$Item is not released for production.
See Item master - Release for production
hmtoggle_plus1 Standard costs method If standard costs method is enabled, a current and valid batch calculation is required. If there is no batch calculation of that type or if it is outdated, an error is issued::
stdpricek423984$Standard cost valuation: the last item valuation is too old, does not exist or there is no calculation schema for it. Work order <belnr_id>, item can not be created.
See Standard costs method Assembly valuation - Standard costs method Concept: assembly valuation Edit Batch-calculation - standard costs
I-Version Version number of item to be used. At new creation, the version will be used, which was stored in Item master. If it is changed, item designation, drawing number and if necessary, BOM and routing are determined new. Description Item designation as per item master data record. Can be changed here. Variant hmtoggle_plus1 Variant designation (A-Z) The name of the variant which can be defined in the item master is displayed. BOM and routing are dependent on the variant. Cannot be changed once created.
If in extended warehouse settings a variant is included automatically See Edit warehouse master data, Variants (beas 9.0-000-000-005)
Product variant Product variant ID (product configurator) Further information see Product configurator Qty. to produce hmtoggle_plus1 The quantity to be produced in consumption units (BOM units) of the assembly Important: If the assembly quantity is changed, quantities in BOM are recalculated automatically, but not the affected sub-assemblies. To update: Work order structure - right click - second tab - update assembly quantity
If lot sizes are considered in sub-structure, to adapt the total quantity of all sub-structures is possible only using the function WO refresh
Important: It may be necessary to check reservations. There is no automatic check.
Cut-off quantity Additional demand according to scrap factor and offcut information in item master. see Cut-off, Option consider cut-off quantity Start structure hmtoggle_plus1 Production start date of the structure may differ from the start date of the assembly in the case of a multi-level work order, as the sub-assemblies are produced before the main assembly. This field contains the start date of the sub-assembly which must be produced first.
Start date Scheduled start. This can be used to define the planned start date (top assembly only), which is considered by forward scheduling in the APS. Start Time Start date and time of the currently selected assembly. Calculated automatically via forward or backward scheduling. End time automatically calculated completion date of the currently selected assembly. Delivery date hmtoggle_plus1 Planned delivery date of the assembly This date refers always at the top level of work order structure. For sub-assemblies, this date does not apply, as the calculated start or end date is used.
If a work order is created from a sales order, the delivery date is set to: delivery date from sales order less "average delivery time"
Serves as reference for backward scheduling
See Configuration wizard - Materials management - Computation - Average delivery time
If this date is changed, and capacity planning is active, then the work order is re-scheduled using the last used calculation method.
hmtoggle_plus1 Notes on settings in work order In work order document - master data set up:
"blocked" disable, "automatic scheduling" active "planned" disable.
Enable capacity planning.
See Backward scheduling Work order document - Master data Configuration wizard - Production - Capacity planning
Last Message Information on when the last FDC report was carried out.
Right click functions Menu item Meaning New hmtoggle_plus1 Create new assembly position If a new production assembly created, it will be broken down when saving. Additional information see Item breakdown Delete hmtoggle_plus1 Delete assembly Delete the assembly and their sub-assemblies including BOM and routing information.
Only BOM items and routing positions are deleted which are not linked to other documents (Material postings, Order time receipts etc.) If not all entries may be deleted, the assembly will be closed.
If the assembly contains sub-assemblies, these are closed as well. If one sub-assembly may not be closed, the superordinate assembly is not deleted, otherwise it would not be possible to display it in structure view. (beas9.0-000-003-045)
Assemblies, which may not be deleted, are closed, after all BOM items and routings without links had been deleted. The WIP-account is balanced. Copy hmtoggle_plus1 Simple copy function The assembly is copied. This function will be removed frombeas9.0-004-002-000 because an extended copy function (copy & paste) has been introduced in structure view. Reports Opens deposited reports (macro menu) Preceding entry Moves to preceding entry
Moves to next entry Update assembly quantity If the assembly contains sub-assemblies and the order quantity was changed, the requirement of the sub-assemblies is changed as well. This function calculates the requirement of the sub-assemblies and enters the values. hmtoggle_plus1 Details If the amount of a BOM item is changed, the quantity of the depending assemblies and sub-assemblies is not adjusted. This is intentional, because a storage-related work is possible, and then the quantity must not be necessarily equal. If the number is to be matched, however, this can be done automatically using this function. Note: If lot sizes are considered in sub-assemblies, this function is not executable. Please use WO refresh in this case. Close hmtoggle_plus1 Close assembly position. Only possible, if not closed yet, and if there are no open time receipts. With continuous stock enabled, further journal entries may be created. see WIP functions
If the assembly has sub-assemblies, it can be set up, whether these are closed as well. See Configuration wizard
A work order position can be re-opened at any time. See re-open WO position Re-open hmtoggle_plus1 Open a closed WO position Only visible, if the WO position had been closed before. A work order position can be re-opened at any time. If then, costs arise and the order is closed again, all costs are posted correctly to the WIP account.
Note: Working with Post-calculation - Reference day - Function, a work order should not be re-opened, because then it is impossible to calculate the reference day. Refresh BOM and routing read out again from the master data, whereby the work order is updated. The complete sub-structure is adapted. Each position is analyzed separately, deleted, replaced, added or completed. Of the currently selected position, the following fields are updated: drawing number, match code, DIN, war material. If version control is active, the drawing number and description is taken from the respective version (beas9.0-004-046).
hmtoggle_plus1 Details If deletion due to existing time receipts is impossible, the relevant items are completed. The following remains unchanged when updating: Position number of the assembly, operation sequence and material item, barcode number, and information, whether assembly was completed. This button is not available for collective orders, Call up from pre-calculation, new creation of work order, completed position, or if the switch "APS planned" is set.
The work order can be updated if it was not created from a pre-calculation, and if it is not a collective order. An update is now also possible when (time receipts or material postings exist). This is now possible, because each position is analyzed separately, deleted, replaced, added or will be completed. As long as in master data the operation sequence or the material item number is not changed, the production item is firmly connected to master data, what makes possible to update the work order regardless of manufacturing item number.
The following information is not changed at an update:
- item number of the assembly, operation sequence and material item
- deposited barcode number of the assembly, operation sequence and material item
- information on status (completed)
If an operation sequence or a material item is completed, it is indeed updated, but remains closed. If an assembly is completed, it is not changed anymore and there will be no further breakdown or update of its operation sequences, BOM and sub-assemblies. If in master data a material item is deleted, which is an order-related assembly, at work order update, the material item and the associated assembly are also deleted. If a deletion is not possible due to existing time receipts, only the deletable items are deleted and all related operation sequences, BOM items and assemblies are closed. The WIP account for the affected assemblies is cleared. Thus, it is always possible to refresh work orders including multi-level work orders. There are no problems with phantom assemblies. Material change in existing BOM: If in master data in an existing material item the item number is changed, at the update the link to the production BOM is lost. At first it is deleted, then inserted new. To the BOM item a new number and barcode is assigned. If the BOM item cannot be deleted, it will be set to “completed”. The same applies to the corresponding sub-assemblies. Note: The update process uses the item number in master data. For this reason, BOM and operation sequence position numbers may not be changed.
Restrictions: If the work order was created from a pre-calculation or if it is a collective order, the button "WO Update" disappears, as no connection between master data and production order is possible. If material summarization is enabled, also no refresh is possible. If you click on the button in this case, the error message (auftrs340) "material summary enabled, no work order update possible" is issued. Related option in Configuration wizard - Production - Create new - Summarize phantom assemblies by item numbers
Note on split assembly If an assembly was split, (see split assembly), it is not refreshed. The quantities of the original assembly is changed.
Variant production If variant production is used, at item or work order creation parameters can be queried. These are saved and used in case of an update, it is not needed to enter them again. (Table beas_ftcaft_varentry). For more information please see function Variable.
Multiple update In work order list several orders can be marked and calculated at once. The drawing number, description, DIN, raw material and match code of the selected assembly are NOT updated. see WO structure
Post-calculation A post-calculation on the current assembly is created. Journal of entries Opens transaction journal Inventory history Open inventory history of the assembly Variable If manually variables were created for variant production, these are saved here. (in table beas_ftcaft_varentry) You can edit or delete them. If the work order is updated, entered variables are used. A new entry is not necessary. To enter new variables, delete the old ones first. Protocol Open protocol Formulas recalculate hmtoggle_plus1 If variant formulas are stored, these can be recalculated This function is used for example, after formulas have been updated. Fields like lead time can be recalculated.
hmtoggle_plus1 Restrictions: Only formulas and tables are affected which are stored directly behind a field. Scripts are not executed. The structure can not be manipulated, eg. by exchanging a material item. BOM items can not be activated or deactivated.
The following can not be computed:
- Designation or description of the operation
- Resources
- BOM - Material requirement
- Material-dependent breakdown
Only work order can be computed, which have been created with beas version 8.8-000-094-061 or later. Only from this version, formulas are supported in work orders. No rescheduling, re-dispatching or correction of reserved times is performed.
hmtoggle_plus1 Variant production If variant production is used, at item or work order creation parameters can be queried. These are saved and used in case of an update, it is not needed to enter them again. (Table beas_ftcaft_varentry). For more information please see function Variable.
