𓁹 ʿayin 𐤏 ע is based on the Egyptian hieroglyph ‘eye’ , see yiddish silent Eugen < Augen ⇔ gucken
ע ⋍ gh/dg ⋍ ǰ ǧ ǯ ʤ ⇔ ʣ ʥ ʦ ʧ ʨ ʠ ʐ ʑ ʒ ʓ ≠ ɠ :(
There is strong evidence that the Hebrew letter 'ע', which is now corrupted to a vocal, once had a different phonetic reading :
ערב = غراب ghurab Rabe (⇔ big grabbing raven > ghoul Greif )
ערב = غَرْب ḡarb (west) > Europe, Abend(land) oū 欧 < qū 区 𓊖
עָרַב = غ ر ب ḡ-r-b gir-ab (go-away, part ⇨ serben/sieben, guarant ⇦ guard)
עָרַב garble,rabble = entstellen, brabbeln ⇔ barbar
ער UR KUR GHAR GARE GOROD DAR Sar 𓊖 (city/Ort)
עין eyen < għajn < Augen vs 𓁹𓏏𓏤 ⲓⲁⲧ⳼ eiath@Coptic eyes
Thus we use as axiom / postulate a reading of ע close to "g":
ע ⋍ gh/dg ⋍ ǰ ǧ ǯ ʤ ⇔ ʣ ʥ ʦ ʧ ʨ ʠ ʐ ʑ ʒ ʓ ≠ ɠ :(
There are other examples of letters of (half)consonants which became partly silent or corrupted to a vocal.
