Introduction

This page documents the assembly and configuration of a custom drone (Falcon), which had the following the requirements:

  • Payload capacity: ~ 3 kg
  • Flight autonomy: > 20 minutes
  • Video transmission: 30 fps @ 1080p
  • Teleoperation range: > 5 km
  • Integration with ROS2 (Robot Operating System)
  • GPS-RTK localization
  • Capable of operating in moderate winter conditions
