The kennel hand is a villager profession introduced in the Working Dogs mod. They wear a green apron and cap with a paw print logo on each. A Kennel Hand's job site block is kennel equipment.

Kennel hands are passionate about good pet care, whether it's dogs, cats, or anything else furred or feathered. One will spawn in each shelter structure*, and they trade dog and cat supplies to the player. Feeding hungry mouths at the animal shelter is no easy task, so low-level kennel hands can be ranked up by trading them stacks of meat and fish to feed their animal friends.

PLEASE NOTE: In the "Lite" beta version, the shelter structure is not-yet implemented!

While kennel hands would love for players to adopt dogs and cats from the shelter, they understand that not every dog is for every person. High-level kennel hand villagers can also trade the player dog spawn eggs. Kennel hands know that a responsible breeder is just as valuable as a rescue worker - and they are happy to help you find the dog that is right for you.

Just like other villager professions, starting from Novice, at each level, two additional trades become available, unless there is only one trade within that level. If there are more than two possible trades, two are randomly selected.
