Inpatient — Room Discharge
Room discharge formally ends the patient's room occupancy. It is performed by ward/nursing staff after the doctor has recorded a clinical discharge. Once room discharge is complete, the patient is no longer shown on the room occupancy board. Nursing discharge (the next stage) can then be confirmed, after which the final bill becomes available.
