Farming

(For farming animals, see instead: Player Goals: Husbandry.)

As soon as the player has acquired their first tuber or seeds, for the avoidance of starvation it is recommended to dedicate at least one block of Dirt to farming. (This can perhaps be postponed if the player has apples from farming oak trees.) Farming in skyblock works much like it does in vanilla, with a few exceptions.

• Water is initially scarce, so replant quickly or re-tilling may be required.
• Dry crops grow slowly. Via the Crops love Rain mod, they will grow faster when it rains, particularly at night (if they are lit to a light level of at least eight).
• If any Farmer's Delight Rich Soil is available, it will greatly speed up crop growth, and rich soil farmland does not revert to dirt when dry.
• Crops can be harvested without breaking them thanks to the MaxVar Reap mod. Simply right-click them with an empty hand. ⚠️ However, when using a knife, do not harvest rice this way or you will not receive a panicle, only the straw. ⚠️

Available Crops:

• Beetroot - Minecraft
• Cabbage - Farmer's Delight
• Carrot - Minecraft
• Onion - Farmer's Delight
• Potato - Minecraft
• Rice - Farmer's Delight - Must be planted in one-block deep water; harvest with a Farmer's Delight Knife to acquire an additional drop of Straw
• Tomato - Farmer's Delight - Fruits repeatedly when mature; sometimes drops a rotton tomato, which can be crafted into tomato seeds or composted
• Wheat - Minecraft - Harvest with a Farmer's Delight Knife to acquire an additional drop of Straw

Villager Farming

Farming with Villagers works much like in vanilla Minecraft. Notes:

• Farmer's Delight crops can be farmed by villagers, except for rice.
• Farmers do not fully understand pathfinding to crops on Farmer's Delight Rich Soil Farmland; place a few blocks of normal Farmland at the most remote points from the farmer's composter and the farmer will tend to the crops on rich farmland on their way.
• Farmers have no issues with Terrestria's Andesol Farmland.

Tree Farming

Tree farming is the same as it is in vanilla, except:

• :warning: The Leaf Decay mod causes rapid leaf decay; watch where you are standing when breaking logs or other leaves! :warning:
• Some Terrestria trees are large or complex or both. As above, pay attention to where you are standing and what you are breaking.
