Very useful to increase crop output, particularly if some can be acquired in the early game prior to the player having acquired water, rich soil tilled as farmland speeds crop growth and does not revert due to drying out.

• Via Farmer's Delight, Organic Compost blocks left in open air slowly convert into rich soil.
• Mushrooms can speed up this process.
